Technical information

Here we summarize the most important technical information for speakers, session chairs and workshop organizers.

 

Information for workshop speakers and organizers:

1.Organizers are advised to arrive to the workshop room at least 30 min in advance to get familiar with the equipment. Please consider that the registration may also take some time.

2 a. For on-site-only workshops, we will provide you with a projector that can be used via HDMI and VGA. You can use your own laptops as usual.

2 b. For hybrid workshops, there will be a laptop in the room that is already set up with a Zoom-session for your workshop, microphone, camera, and speakers. It is recommended to use a USB-A-Stick to put the presentations on the prepared laptop instead of connecting yourself to the equipment.

  

Information for conference speakers and session chairs:

1. There will be a laptop in each conference room that is already set up with a Zoom-session for the conference, microphone, camera, and speakers. The chairs and the presenters can collect their presentations before the session as usual. It is recommended to use a USB-A-Stick to put the presentations on the prepared laptop. If required, own computers can be used as follows. The local computer stays connected and transmits the camera and sound. Own computers can join the Zoom session and share their screen for presentation.

2. Remote speakers shall connect to Zoom, share their screen and present as usual at online conferences. They are also offered the opportunity to pre-record their presentations and submit them to the organizers to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. to avoid any connectivity issues; however, they are expected to be online at least during the final part of their presentation slot to be available for questions.

  

General information:

1. There will be someone around to help you if there are any problems with the setup.

2. Please recall that wearing FFP2-masks at all times even during the talks is mandatory, except when you are eating, drinking, or presenting.

3. The Zoom links will be distributed by email to registered participants. Moreover, a dry-run session will be organized for remote speakers on March 31 at 16:30 CEST, April 1 at 9:00 CEST, should they want to try out the connection. 4. We recommend that the presentations be saved in PDF format to avoid any display problems.
