Student scholarship
ETAPS e.V. and local organizers grant scholarships for (doctoral) students and young researchers to support their travel to and stay at ETAPS 2022 in Munich. The scholarship is realized as a registration fee waiver, i.e., the scholarship means a free registration. For special cases when a student cannot get reimbursed for their travel by their university, we will consider offering a limited number of travelling scholarships tailored to the specific case and proven by respective bills. Preference will be given to students
- from countries where access to travel funds is difficult, and
- being an author or a co-author of a paper at one of the four ETAPS main conferences.
The deadline for application is March 1st, 2022. Applicants are required to submit a short application (max. 1 page) electronically as an ASCII text file. The application should contain the following information:
- your name, affiliation, and e-mail address,
- the name and e-mail address of your supervisor,
- in the case you have a paper accepted to an ETAPS main conference, its title, the conference at which this paper will be presented, and whether you will be presenting the paper yourself or not,
- a short explanation of the reason(s) why funding is required, indicating whether your university is providing any funding for your trip and to what extent, and any specific information useful for assessing your case,
- indication whether you want to serve as a student volunteer.
Please be considerate, the stipends are not meant to simply improve the budget situation of the students' supervisors, but to enable everyone to come to ETAPS when their participation is endangered by financial inequalities.
