Scholarship for student volunteers
The ETAPS conference offers opportunities for student participation, including student volunteering and mentoring.
Student volunteers are vital to the efficient operation and continued success of the conference each year. The student volunteer program is a chance for students from around the world to participate in the conferences whilst assisting us in preparing and running the event. In return, volunteers are granted access to plenary sessions, tutorials, workshops, and demos; and to the ETAPS 2020 Mentoring Workshop.
The ETAPS 2020 Mentoring Workshop is aimed at advanced bachelor, master and first-year graduate students. The workshop aims to offer a networking opportunity and attract students to research careers in software science, to de-mystify the graduate school experience, and to offer first-hand perspectives on graduate study from recent Ph.D. graduates, young scholars, and senior researchers. Applicants from groups underrepresented in computing are especially welcome. The workshop program will focus on important skills for beginning researchers and will offer mentoring opportunities with senior researchers attending the conference.
ETAPS e.V. is granting a number of scholarships for PhD students and young researchers to support the funding of their travel to and stay at ETAPS 2020 in Dublin. Each scholarship has a flat rate of € 500. Preference will be given to students from countries where access to travel funds is difficult and to authors/co-authors of ETAPS papers.
