Visa

Estonia is part of the European Schengen common visa area. Citizens of many countries do not need a visa to visit Estonia. A visa is however required of, e.g., Indian, Chinese, Russian, Ukrainian nationals.

Obtaining an Estonian visa can be time-consuming and logistically difficult. We will do our best to assist you, but cannot promise anything.

  • your full name as in passport
  • birth date and place
  • nationality
  • travel document, number, issuing authority, date of issue, date of expiry
  • your institute/company and position
  • dates of planned visit to Estonia
  • Estonian representation where you plan to apply for your visa

 

We can only issue visa invitation letters to authors/PC members of the main conferences and otherwise to participants who have paid their registration fees in full.

You need a short-term (= type C) visa. The fee is normally 60 EUR, but researchers travelling for research purposes are exempt from the fee.
