The objective of systems integrated testing is to confirm that a set of cooperating HW/SW-components can
be fully integrated to satisfy functional and technical requirements.
In this demonstration, we illustrate concretely the use of a coarse grain approach to automated systems
integrated testing while a companion paper emphasizes on the conceptual application modelling focus. Along
an industrial application, the test of a Computer Telephony Integration system, we exemplify the main
features of the ITE, the Integrated Testing Environment:
- specification of test cases is supported graphically by combining test blocks that represent stimuli to
various components of the system to be tested
- library-based consistency checking allows verification of properties specific for the system by
means of model checking
- execution of test cases is performed in a step-wise manner incorporating test tools that enables the
test of specific system components.
