The online registration form allows you to register for the main conferences, satellite events, and tutorials. Please, read carefully the following explanations, before proceeding to the registration form
Registration and payment of
fees will be necessary for attending any of the ETAPS events. After
completing the on-line form, registration will be acknowledged
immediately by e-mail including your registration number. You are kindly
requested to print, sign and send it by fax to TILESA OPC. When the
payment is confirmed, you will receive the final acknowledgement. If you
have not received an official notification by e-mail within two weeks
after having sent your payment and registration, please contact us at:

it by fax to the Technical Secretariat (TILESA OPC).
Incremental
registration:
You can use
the access key, that you will receive in the acknowledgement after
registration, to modify your registration (for instance to register to
another event or to reserve accommodation). Specifically, when you
access the online registration system you have the choice to enter as a
registered user, using your access key, or to proceed to register for
the first time (by clicking the REGISTER NOW button). If you have
already registered but you have forgotten your key, you can ask for it
by providing your e-mail address
WARNING:
After March 5, this possibility of incremental registration will be
disabled. If you want to modify your registration after that date you
should send a message to TILESA explaining the required changes.
Terms of Payment:
Payments may be
submitted:
1. By credit card. Visa,
Master Card, and Euro Card will be accepted.
2. By check or bank draft in
Euros, payable to: TILESA OPC CATALUÑA/ETAPS 2004. (Except
the last 30 days before the conference, when only credit card will be
accepted). Personal checks are not accepted.
3. By bank transfer
payable in Euros. Please do not forget to include your name and
address in the bank communication. All bank charges must be paid by the
sender. Please, transfer your payment to the following account sending
a copy by fax:
We strongly suggest that you make a hotel reservation as soon as possible. Otherwise, you run the risk of being unable to find accommodation at a decent price in a reasonable location. To encourage you to register soon, we apply a 10% discount on the costs of most items you can select in the form, provided that the fax (with correct payment) is received by TILESA OPC not later than February 15, 2004. This discount applies to:
The same costs will be subject to a 20% surcharge if your confirmation fax is
received by TILESA OPC after March 8, 2004.
The latest
date for registration by fax, mail or e-mail will be March 25,
2004. Any registration form received after this date will be processed
on site.
Registered
participants unable to attend ETAPS 2004 may ask for refunds. For
cancellations received by TILESA OPC before
March 8, there will be an 80% refund on the registration
payments. For cancellations received by TILESA OPC after March 8, there will be no refund
of the registration payments. Nevertheless, a registartion can be
transfered to another person at no cost.
Any differences arising in registration fees will be settled on site by the Secretariat. In the event that registration funds were wired late or, for unexplained reasons, were not credited to the ETAPS 2004 account at the time of registration, a photocopy of the receipt will be required. If no proof of payment can be presented, full payment will be required on site.

There are three categories of attendance: Industry (450 €), Academia (350 €), and Student (200 €). All fees include the attendance to ETAPS conferences and to ETAPS receptions (on Monday March 29 and Thursday April 1), light lunches (sandwiches), and coffee breaks.
The Academia and Industry (but not Student) fees include a copy of the proceedings of two different ETAPS conferences. Then, all participants can order any number of additional copies of the proceedings at a reduced price (w.r.t. the publisher price list).
The banquet (Wednesday March 31st) is not included in the registration fee.
It is possible to register for a satellite event or a tutorial without registering for ETAPS, but in that case there is a surcharge (75 €) to cover general organization expenses; that surcharge has to be payed once, disregarding the number of chosen satellite events and/or tutorials. In the case of SPIN, the fee already covers these organization expenses. As a consequence, there is a reduced fee for SPIN addressed to the persons who register to SPIN after having registered to the ETAPS Main Conferences
The registration fee for a satellite event covers only attendance to the event and material, such as proceedings. Thus the registration for a satellite event requires the payment of an extra fee (17 €) for each day of that event held at the conference location to cover lunches and coffee/tea breaks. Of course, people registering for two or more events taking place the same day(s) are required to pay this fee just once per day (the fee is automatically computed on the basis of the days of the registered satellite events). Again, in the case of SPIN, the fee also covers these items.
There will be a federated social banquet for the pre-conference (Sunday, March 28) and one for the post-conference (Saturday, April 3) events. Tickets for either banquet have to be bought in advance (45 € each). CMCS and WADT will have a common banquet on Saturday March 27, which is not included in its registration; tickets for that banquet have to be bought in advance as well (45 €). Finally, there will be a SPIN dinner on Friday April 2. In this case, tickets are included in the SPIN registration fee, but additional tickets may be bought in advance at the price of 45 €.
Satellite events that will not reach a sufficient
number of participants may be cancelled. Cancellation will be decided by
March 3, 2004. No charge will be made for registration to an event that
is cancelled.
There are several social events included in the
ETAPS program. As described above, most of them are not included in the
regular fees and have to be payed separately. In particular, the
social events that are not included in the registration fees are:
ETAPS social program also includes two receptions
(Monday, March 29 and Thursday, April 1) that are open to all ETAPS
participants and accompanying persons.
The
Technical Secretariat of the meeting offers the participants of ETAPS
2004 rooms at special prices in selected hotels and university
residences. Participants are advised to
book rooms as soon as possible, since rooms will be reserved on a first
come/first served basis. Obviously, you may also reserve a hotel
directly (e.g. by your preferred tourist operator or using the Internet).
For
the student residences it is possible to pay the complete stay directly
to the residence but it will be necessary send a credit card number in
order to guarantee the reservation and the no-shows. The rates include
VAT 7%.
The
hotel prices include breakfast and they are rates per room and per
night. For the confirmation of the Hotel reservations, it's necessary to
pay a deposit in advance as guarantee of the reservation. Moreover, all
reservations must be guaranteed with a credit card number even if the
payment is done by another method (check or bank draft). The advanced
deposits will be deducted from the final hotel invoice. No reservation
will be processed without the payment of this deposit and the credit
card number.
You
will receive confirmation of the accommodation indicating the name of
the hotel and its address; this confirmation must be presented upon
registration at the corresponding hotel, in order to confirm the
reservation, the payment, and to benefit from the special rates.
Hotel
accommodations may be reserved by using the Accommodation Form on line
or if you prefer, you can print and fill up the accommodation form in
order to send it by fax to the Technical Secretariat (TILESA OPC). This
form should reach TILESA OPC CATALUÑA no later than February 25,
2004, along with the payment of the deposit.After
that date there is no guarantee that TILESA OPC is able to reserve a
room for you under the same conditions.

Cancellation
and refund policy
University
Residences
For
cancellations notified after February 25, 2004, the first night will be
charged to the credit card as cancellation fees. Cancellations
received after March 15, 2004 or no shows, will
be charged two nights as cancellation fees.
Hotels:
Accommodation
deposits cannot be refunded for cancellations notified after February
25, 2004.
Nevertheless, in both cases, reservations can be transfered to another person at no cost.
Disclaimer:
The
terms for cancelling reservations are set forth by the individual
hotels and are applicable to room reservation blocks for meetings
and/or conventions. The Organization is not responsible for these
cancellation policies.
